Ragi also known as Finger Millet has a unique earthy flavour and is super healthy nutrition-wise. A grain which was once very popular has become absent today from most of our diet. Ragi is known as Nachni in Maharashtra, Ragi in Karnataka, Mandua in Uttarakhand, Ragulu in Andhra Pradesh, & Kezhvaragu in Tamilnadu.
Why should Ragi be a part of your diet:

Rich source of minerals: It has 5-30 times the calcium content found in other cereals, rich in phosphorus, potassium & iron.
Controls diabetes: This complex carbohydrate is rich in dietary fibre levels & beneficial phytochemicals. It controls blood glucose levels & oxidative stress. Thanks to the high polyphenol content.
