Chickpea & Pumpkin soup

About the Recipe


  • 2 garlic cloves

  • 1 onion

  • 250g pumpkin

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • ½ teaspoon cumin

  • 1 small katori boiled & mashed chickpeas

  • 1 tbsp tomato puree

  • Chopped coriander leaves - few Rock Salt - as required

  • white pepper


  • Chop onion & garlic finely

  • Cut the pumpkin into small pieces, pressure cook them till it gets mushy

  • Heat the olive oil in a saucepan and sauté onion, garlic. Add mashed pumpkin into it and season with cumin, white pepper.

  • Now pour the mashed chickpeas into it and let it simmer for 15 minutes.

  • Add tomato puree into it and stir it for a few minutes till it is completely cooked.

  • Add finely chopped coriander leaves and serve warm.
