About the Recipe
Yes we are talking about hummus👩🏻🍳
This is the easiest hummus recipe with tahini, garlic, lemon 🍋, and chickpeas.
Ingredients
1 cup boiled chickpeas
1/4 cup tahini (white sesame paste)
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon sea salt or rock salt
1 teaspoon roasted cumin
1/4 cup olive oil
Preparation
Boil the chickpeas and place into a food processor/blender. Add the tahini, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and cumin.
Pulse a few times to get going. With the processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil.
Continue blending until very smooth and creamy. Add the boiled chickpea water to adjust the consistency.
Taste and adjust seasonings if needed, such as a squeeze more lemon or a pinch more cumin. Transfer the homemade hummus to a serving bowl or food storage container. Drizzle just a tiny splash of olive oil on top.
Serve with gluten free bread or Roti or your favourite veggies.
Store homemade hummus in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
