Roasted Makhana (Lotus seeds🌷)
Makhana also called as foxnuts are low in cholesterol, sodium and saturated fats and are good for your heart. They are a good source of magnesium, potassium, manganese, phosphorous and protein.
🌸2 cups makhana
🌸¼ teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi)
🌸½ teaspoon red chili powder
🌸 1 tsp chaat masala
🌸 Rock salt as required
🌸 2 to 3 teaspoon oil or ghee
🌷Heat oil in a pan
🌷Add the makhana and roast for 10-12 minutes on a low flame till they become crisp
🌷 Remove from flame when roasted fine
🌷 Add ghee or oil to a kadai and add the spices and salt, except chaat masala.
🌷 Mix well with makhana
🌷Switch off the fire, sprinkle the chaat masala powder and mix well again
Serve roasted makhana straightaway.😋
