Jowar veggies Dalia

About the Recipe


Ingredients

  • Jowar - 25g (to be soaked for 4-6 hours)

  • Yellow moong dal - 15 g

  • Onion -1 no chopped

  • Carrot - 1no chopped Tomato - 1no chopped

  • Peas - Few Cumin seed - ½ tsp

  • Cumin powder - ½ tsp

  • Turmeric powder - ½ tsp

  • Ginger - ½ tsp grated

  • Curry leaves - few

  • Ghee - 1 tbsp

Preparation

  • Heat ghee in an earthen pot. Splutter cumin seeds, add curry leaves.

  • Add onion, peas and tomatoes. Give it a good mix.

  • To flavour it, add turmeric powder, cumin powder and salt. Mix everything well.

  • Add soaked and strained jowar and dal and add required water.

  • Cover and cook for 15 mins

  • Finish with lime juice. Mix well and serve hot
