About the Recipe
Ingredients
Jowar - 25g (to be soaked for 4-6 hours)
Yellow moong dal - 15 g
Onion -1 no chopped
Carrot - 1no chopped Tomato - 1no chopped
Peas - Few Cumin seed - ½ tsp
Cumin powder - ½ tsp
Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
Ginger - ½ tsp grated
Curry leaves - few
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Preparation
Heat ghee in an earthen pot. Splutter cumin seeds, add curry leaves.
Add onion, peas and tomatoes. Give it a good mix.
To flavour it, add turmeric powder, cumin powder and salt. Mix everything well.
Add soaked and strained jowar and dal and add required water.
Cover and cook for 15 mins
Finish with lime juice. Mix well and serve hot
